"I'm a Navy chaplain and was doing research for an Advent sermon to include some reference to Gladys Knight's "So Sad The Song that Says Goodbye." When I searched that title, Google found only your tribute to Missy. As the father of a 12-year-old daughter I know something of your love for Missy. It's not easy, this father's love for a child. We become very vulnerable to the very thing your life has brought you. Thank you for sharing your love of Missy, your family, your struggle to find meaning in it all, and your faith in our Lord, Jesus. Thank you for confirming for me again what the burial rite of my church says, that in death "life is changed, not ended." Love never ends. Thank you for being my brother in Christ in that mystical fellowship of believers. Peace be with you. If I may commend to you a book I read a number of years ago written by a Baptist pastor, L. D. Johnson, whose young daughter Carole died in an automobile accident. His too, is a wonderful and thoughtful tribute to his beloved daughter. The book is "The Morning after Death."
