Crimson Sky

This crimson morning sky
Caught at its peak
Brilliantly speaks of God's majesty
And also-
Is it the beauty?
The connection with eternal glory?-
Brings to mind Missy
Beautiful
Gloriously loved
Eternal.

Yet in a passing moment
Almost before this thought completes itself
This crimson beauty fades,
Seemingly indifferent to this sorrow's pain.
